The state-of-the-art production facility in Irungattukotai, Tamil Nadu, uses cutting edge technology and modern manufacturing methods to deliver quality products. The production department has the accumulated experience of 130 workers and 10 staff members for the manufacture of automotive components.

Process Capabilities
Unlike the conventional process of Batch production this plant uses the contemporary ‘CELLULAR MANUFACTURING’ concept. Each component - right from the raw casting to the finished product - is manufactured in a ‘U-LINE’ arrangement of machines and test equipment. This process optimizes not only the Machine Capacity but also the Manpower used. The manufacturing process also incorporates ‘POKA – YOKE’ or ‘Mistake Proofing’, to enhance the ease of operation for the worker and avoid manual errors.

Internationally competitive products require world class quality. The Line manufacturing process incorporates Inspection and Quality checks in the line itself as part of the manufacturing process. Thus, ensuring world-class quality of each of the components manufactured.

With the globalization of Indian Industry and the burgeoning automotive industry, the demand for automotive components has been on the rise. To cater to these needs the ‘LINE’ concept has been further developed to adapt to a range of products apart from those manufactured currently with existing facilities. JKM DAERIM has been able to manufacture more than one component in a single line and develop the LINE concept from a ‘DEDICATED LINE’ to a ‘MIXED LINE’ concept. This development has led to further optimization of the existing facility without increase in infrastructure.
